Exhaustion & Burnout

When someone comes to me because of persistent exhaustion or burnout, my first questions are naturally: How are they feeling, and what has brought them to this point?

For me, it is essential to look at the person as a whole. Physical, psychological and emotional factors may all play a part and deserve careful consideration.

What is the body lacking right now? What does the mind need? And what does this person, as a whole, need to regain their strength and feel emotionally well again?

Our bodies can compensate for a remarkable amount. However, ongoing stress, pressures at work or in private life, lack of sleep and insufficient time to recover can eventually exhaust our reserves. This often happens gradually, sometimes over months or even years.

Exhaustion should not automatically be attributed to physical causes alone. Psychological and emotional factors can also play an important role, and several factors often interact. Physical health issues should nevertheless be considered carefully, including hormonal changes, thyroid disorders, infections, nutrient deficiencies, sleep disturbances and other medical conditions.

In my practice, I therefore consider both your health and your everyday life. How well do you sleep? How much pressure are you currently under? Are there other physical symptoms? What are your eating habits, physical activity and opportunities for rest like? And have there been any changes or events that coincide with the onset or worsening of your exhaustion?

Looking at these connections helps us build an individual picture of your situation. From there, we can decide together which naturopathic approaches may be appropriate and which changes in everyday life might further support your recovery.

The aim is not simply to get you “functioning” again as quickly as possible. Rather, I want to work with you to understand what is placing a lasting strain on you, what can be changed, and what your body and mind need to regain strength, stability and a sense of well-being.
